Shingleback Shiraz, McLaren Vale, 2005

McLaren Vale is an area renowned for its climate, lifestyle and Shiraz Select parcels of grapes from our family vineyard in the Vale are the foundation of Shingleback, which is named after the lizards that live happily amongst the vines. My personal attention to viticulture and winemaking, has crafted this ripe, deep red, hill-bodied wine. Traditional small batch open fermentation and gentle pressing were used to capture the sumptuous dark berry and plum flavours that have been enhanced by 14 months maturation in fine grained American and French oak. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 8 years. Alcohol 14.5% by vol. Produced and bottled in Australia.
